COVID-19 Saliva Testing Programme Privacy Statement
This privacy statement explains how the Asia Pacific Healthcare Group (‘APHG’) collects, uses and shares health information when a border worker registers with the COVID-19 Saliva Testing Programme, including the COVID-19 Saliva Testing App.
APHG provides this service on behalf of the Ministry of Health (Ministry of Health). The Ministry of Health has also published a privacy statement for the Border Workforce Testing Register, which this service connects to. This statement explains more about who will have access to your test results as part of the wider programme.
To run this service, APHG collects health information from border workers directly, from employers, and from relevant clinical systems. We collect the following information:
- Date of birth
- Telephone Number
- Email address
- Work location
- Test results prepared in relation to the request
We will use this information only for delivering the COVID-19 Saliva Testing service, as required by the Ministry of Health. As a service provider, APHG will not use this information for its own purposes.
You will receive a copy of your test results, and your test results will also be available to the local Medical Officer of Health, the Ministry of Health, and your employer, via the Border Workforce Testing Register. Results are also disclosed to Environmental Science and Research (‘ESR’).
If you are using the COVID-19 Saliva Testing App, this App will retain only your first name and security key, and you can also use the App to check your current or historical test results.
You can find out more about the way APHG secures health information, and your rights to access or correct the information APHG holds about you, in the APHG Privacy Statement. Please note however that the sections on information collection, use and disclosure in our general privacy statement do not apply to the COVID-19 Saliva Testing Programme.
